Landmark Vacation Rentals partners with Red Sky Travel Insurance to provide our guests with the option of protecting their vacation investment with Trip Preserver® coverage. Trip Preserver provides trip insurance, emergency assistance and travel services in case of hurricane evacuations and family emergencies, such as illness or death in the family. The cost of Red Sky Travel Insurance is 6.95% of your total rent. This amount will be indicated on your lease. Once selected, the fee is due with your first or final payment depending on when you request the policy to be added. Travel Insurance is non-refundable after 14 days of purchase or if purchased within 60 days prior to stay arrival date.
Be advised that under Section 42A-36 of the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act (NCVRA), when under order of mandatory evacuation (Hurricane), the Tenant is not entitled to a refund from the Owner if prior to taking possession of the Property the Tenant refused travel insurance offered to them that would have compensated them for losses or damages resulting from loss of use of the Property due to a mandatory evacuation (Hurricane) order.
We strongly urge you to consider this insurance when planning your beach vacation. NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE FOR HURRICANE EVACUATIONS WITHOUT TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE.
